Had my last class of Western Cookery where we had our final practical kitchen exam. I was so determined to get first this time as in The Other Group always get first in every test. My group had try our best but still we did not managed to get first for today. The Other Group got first, again. Kinda disappointed but nevermind, I must not give up.
I think I forgot to put seasoning into the Corquetas de Gambas that we made. No wonder it tasted a bit plain. Another reason why we didn't get first place. The Braised Chicken with Sausage and Spaetzle was fine. And our Crepe Suzette with Orange and Mint Sauce was presented well.
After cleaning the kitchen, we were asked by our chef to gather around. He told us that he was blessed to have us as his students and he hopes that we did learnt something from him. He also wished us all the best in future. I almost, yes almost cry in that moment.
We were really blessed to have him as our Chef. I really do hope he will teach us again next semester.
